Campbell & Pound is a professional practice of accredited real estate appraisers and an A+ accredited member of the Better Business Bureau, which has been active in the Vancouver metropolitan area including the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley for the past 78 years. Campbell & Pound originated in 1939 as a realty sales, insurance brokerage and notary public office. In 1961 the company began specializing in all aspects of real estate appraisal and related consultancy work. At that time, the company was located at the northwest corner of Burrard Street and West Broadway in the city of Vancouver. It has celebrated serving this industry for over 60 years, with its current head office in Richmond.
The greatest asset of Campbell & Pound is our team of well-trained, knowledgeable, and dedicated appraisers. Here is a list to help you understand the professional designations that our appraisers are qualified with:
The AACI designation indicates those who have successfully completed their studies in the AACI program and fulfilled the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC)’s professional requirements.
This designation goes hand in hand with the AACI designation, signifying that the individual has fulfilled all professional and study requirements of the AACI and the AIC. It is used by AIC Members with the AACI designation.
CRA members have completed the Canadian Residential Appraiser’s program of studies and have met all the professional requirements of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. They are qualified to provide valuation and consulting services for individual, undeveloped residential dwelling sites and dwellings that contain up to four self-contained family housing units.
The RI designation is granted to an individual who has demonstrated a high level of real estate knowledge, passed rigorous standards of education, and established themselves as a connected real estate professional. Only those who have fulfilled specific qualifications can obtain the RI designation and become professional members of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia.
Professionals holding the CRP designation have undergone further training and education, which makes them uniquely qualified to conduct Depreciation Reports (otherwise known as Reserve Fund Studies) across Canada.
Candidate Members of the AIC have fulfilled specific education and admission requirements that enable them to become Members. Once Members, they must successfully complete the AIC Program of Professional Studies in order to be granted their AACI or CRA designation. They are appraisers-in-training who actively work in the field, preparing and taking limited responsibility for appraisal reports while under the supervision of an AIC-Designated Member. Candidate 1 Members have less than three years experience in the field. Candidate 2 Members have more than three years of field experience and have completed over fifty percent of their course load.

We do not solicit clients on a mass basis. We solicit through referrals from satisfied customers. We provide service which is swift, accurate and confidential. We protect the integrity of the industry as well as our client base. Our client list is held in the strictest confidence and no appraisal is discussed with anyone other than the addressee or their representative (provided authorization is received). Each of our staff members is polite, courteous, professional and dedicated to providing you with the best service. We maintain a sophisticated up-to-date computer record of all our appraisals, as well as general market analysis and trends. This helps us provide you with fast, accurate and reliable appraisal services including cost effective “in-office” update appraisals and electronic transmission delivery of all appraisal assignments upon request.
