Dan is the President, CEO, and Managing Director of Campbell & Pound. His depth of knowledge and expertise comes from being involved in the Real Estate Appraisal & Consulting Profession since 1973. Since then, he has been a professional, accredited member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and has been with Campbell & Pound since 1986.
Dan’s experience includes the valuation of complex Industrial, Commercial and Investment portfolios and expert witness testimony before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and Canada. Holding the professional Certified Reserve Planner designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada and the RI designation from the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia, he also conducts comprehensive reserve fund studies and depreciation reports for strata properties throughout BC.
His passion for all things real estate extends to his community involvement. Dan is an active agent/nominee member of both the Vancouver and Fraser Valley Real Estate Boards, the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC, the Mortgage Investment Association of BC, and the Urban Development Institute (Pacific Region). He was the past Chair and Governor (2004-2006) on the Provincial Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute of Canada – British Columbia, and currently sits as one of their Vancouver representatives. From 2006-2007, Dan sat as the Provincial President of the AIC. Dan has also been the Director of the Vancouver Chapter for the Real Estate Institute of BC from 1996 until the present day.
His clients include major Canadian financial institutions, brokers, developers, lawyers, accountants, various governmental institutions, property managers, and private individuals.
Julie is an accredited professional member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in May of 2006 from the University of British Columbia and is currently in the process of completing the academic, experience, and mentoring requirements in order to earn the professional designation of CRA.
She has been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and Campbell & Pound since 2015. Julie’s work involves a wide variety of residential and complex residential appraisal assignments including single family dwellings, new construction appraisals, vacant land, acreage, strata apartments, estate/settlement of assets files, capital gains tax files (retrospective and current approaches), and mixed use single family. She is very knowledgeable in the Vancouver (REBGV) Real Estate market with over 8 years of Real Estate experience.
Her geographical areas of expertise are primarily Vancouver, Ladner, Tsawwassen, and Richmond.
Lisa is an AIC candidate appraiser with Campbell & Pound and joined the residential team in 2014. She has worked steadily from Junior Appraiser to full time Residential Appraiser. She services the Fraser Valley area including Delta, Surrey, White Rock, and Langley and has experience in a wide array of valuation assignments. Lisa possesses critical thinking skills that meld well with the Appraisal Profession and always provides good support and conclusions in her work. She joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada's Fraser Valley Chapter as a Candidate member and helped put together many events for Candidates. She is also an important Liaison between the Chapter and Candidate members. Lisa is further involved with the Appraisal Institute of Canada as the Provincial Candidate Rep for the AIC BC and is a Candidate Representative for the Fraser Valley Chapter.
Jeff is an appraiser and Candidate Member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He has his Undergraduate Degree in Business Management and Marketing. He began his appraisal career with BC Assessment and has worked in the fee appraisal field for the majority of his +/- 15 years in the industry.
Jeff joined our team in 2014 and since working for Campbell & Pound, has primarily serviced the areas of Burnaby and Surrey but continues to appraise throughout Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, as well as the Fraser Valley regions. His extensive appraisal experience includes many types of appraisals, both Residential and Commercial (IC&I). These include many different property types such as waterfront properties, acreage properties, residential homes and many more. His body of work also includes various geographical areas including the East Kootenays, Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver, Central Vancouver Island and the Capital Regional District.
Michelle Cross is currently a candidate member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. She has been appraising residential properties, including single detached homes, townhouses, duplexes and apartments since 2016 and specializes in the Fraser Valley area from Langley to Chilliwack. Prior to beginning her appraisal career, she graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and in 2010, began working for 2 years in an administrative role for Campbell & Pound. She then went on to complete further schooling in architecture and building technology at BCIT before deciding to enter into the Residential Appraisal program with UBC Sauder School of Business and returning to Campbell & Pound. She is currently continuing her appraisal education requirements with the goal of attaining her CRA designation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and looks forward to building upon her experience and advancing in her appraisal career.
Zana became a member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2004. She has worked as an appraiser since 2004 with Campbell & Pound and has continued to be an active and valuable team member. Zana earned her Urban Land Economics Diploma from UBC in 2005 while previously finishing Real Estate Studies at Langara College and earning a degree in Economics from the University of former Yugoslavia in 1993. She was awarded the distinctive CRA designation in 2014.
She is an appraiser whose area of geographic responsibility includes the City of Vancouver and Burnaby. Zana has handled many executive high-end and complex residential assignments over the years including waterfront estates, view, and executive penthouse properties in her portfolio. She has participated in many litigation files, relocation files, as well as the production of management portfolio files for various clients.
Zana speaks fluent English, as well as Serbian, Croatian, and Montenegrin.
Ricky is currently working as an administrator at Campbell & Pound since joining the company in September 2016. Prior to beginning his appraisal career, he graduated from Capilano University with a major in Tourism Management. Ricky then decided to pursue the Residential Appraisal Program at UBC Sauder School of Business and is in the process of becoming a candidate member with the Appraisal Institute of Canada this August 2017. He is currently continuing his appraisal education to achieve his CRA Designation. Ricky speaks English, as well as Cantonese and Mandarin.
Josh is an accredited professional member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. In 2010, he successfully completed the applied Experience Program and is currently in the process of earning the professional designation of AACI (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute).
Since joining Campbell & Pound in 2003, Josh has been involved in a wide variety of complex residential appraisal assignments, including single family dwellings, vacant land, subdivision land, acreage, co-ops, strata apartments, mixed use single family, and mansion estate properties. He is highly experienced with many high-end forms of residential real estate as it relates to point-in-time valuation for mortgage purposes.
Josh is experienced in the B.C. Online system, in residential real estate valuation and defense of valuations through the corporate appeal process, as well as in commercial appraisal research and market valuation from his time as an assistant (2007-2008).
His geographical area of expertise includes Vancouver and the West and North Vancouver areas.
Calvin has a strong financial background with years as a manager of two chartered banks in Canada and is now a professionally designated CRA member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He has been appraising residential properties with Campbell & Pound since 2003 and his geographical area of appraisal expertise includes Vancouver, Burnaby, and Richmond. He is skilled in all types of residential appraisals including acreages, high-end homes, relocations, hobby farms, unique properties, new construction, renovation properties, and strata units including apartments, condominiums, townhouses, and multi-family dwellings consisting of duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes.
Calvin is known for his swift and expeditious turnaround time when completing the appraisal process without compromising quality or content. His clients include appraisal management companies, private individuals, corporations, major financial institutions, mortgage brokers, relocation corporations, developers, builders, and both law and private firms.
Calvin speaks English, as well as Cantonese and Mandarin.
Kristin gained her CRA designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in September of 2009 after completing the necessary courses through UBC's Sauder School of Business. Kristin has worked within the Residential Real Estate Industry since 1999 and is familiar with Office Procedures, Residential Real Estate Sales, Listings, Appraisals, Relocation and Rental Properties. She has been working with Campbell and Pound since 2010.
Kristin is personally signed to conduct Residential Appraisal Assignments with Scotiabank and The Royal Bank of Canada. She resides in the Township of Langley and specializes in completing appraisal assignments throughout various areas of the Fraser Valley. Her main area of geographical responsibility is noted as Langley and Aldergrove.
Kristin has vast experience appraising properties with features such as: acreage, outbuildings, waterfront, new construction, high-end residential properties and renovations. She is known for her detail oriented work, fast turn-around times, efficiency, and punctuality.
Carol is Campbell & Pound's Front Office Administrator. She has been with Campbell & Pound since 2016 and is an asset to the team. Carol performs office administration duties for the Residential Division. She is well organized and maintains the records and files in the office. She also collects, records, maintains, and updates the firm’s order and contact databases. She enters and assigns orders to the company’s appraisers, as well as updates clients in regards to the status of their orders. Carol also manages and keeps the office’s Accounts Receivables up to date.
She is a customer support representative and the person you will most likely speak with when calling the office. She is experienced with appraisal practices and real estate office procedures and is happy to help and answer your inquiries regarding any non-valuation related questions you may have.
Jaclyn is an AIC Candidate Member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and is currently pursuing her AACI (Accredited Appraiser Institute of Canada) professional designation. She has been working in the Real Estate Industry since 2004.
She joined the Residential Division of Campbell & Pound in 2015 as a skilled appraiser in both strata units and single-family properties located within the metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley area. Jaclyn is a strong critical thinker and is able to consistently deliver a variety of detailed appraisal reports in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Practices of the AIC. She is known for diligently working within and meeting tight deadlines in order to meet her clients’ needs and priorities.
Jaclyn completed her Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) at UBC in 2013 with specializations in Appraisal, Real Estate Development, and Real Estate Management. In addition, she is currently working towards completing a Bachelor in Business and Real Estate at UBC.
Chantelle is Campbell & Pound's Front Office Residential Division Operations Manager. She has been with Campbell & Pound since 2009 and is experienced with appraisal practices and real estate office management. Chantelle came to Campbell & Pound from Scotia Express as an assistant financial underwriter with a strong financial operations background.
Chantelle manages the front office appraisal operations for the firm. She performs, coordinates and oversees technical and office administration duties of the Residential Division's appraisers, including provision of varied and complex office duties with supervision of clerical and other support staff. She collects, records, maintains, and updates property appraisal data, as well as order and contact databases.
Assignment dispatchment, customer support representative, and general manager of the office are just a few of Chantelle's duties in a day. She is the person on the front line and your resource for any non-valuation related questions.
David graduated with a Bachelor of Business in Real Estate (BBRE) and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from the Real Estate Division at the Sauder School of Business at UBC and Thompson Rivers University. He previously achieved a Diploma of Technology from the Marketing Management Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
David has been appraising residential properties since 2011 and has worked with Campbell & Pound since 2014. He specializes in the geographical areas of Surrey, North Delta, and Langley, but has also completed numerous assignments throughout the Fraser Valley and remainder of the Lower Mainland. He is competent in all types of residential appraisal assignments from strata condominiums to both high-end and acreage properties. David works hard to ensure that appraisal reports are completed in a timely manner and that client deadlines are always met.
Juliana started her career as a Real Estate Sales Associate at RE/MAX Central Realty in Burnaby back in 2002. Before that time she gained an understanding of the relationship between real estate and mortgage loans as a Financial Service Representative at the Burnaby branch of Vancity Savings & Credit Union between 1998 and 2001. Prior to that, she worked as a sales executive at a London publishing house in the United Kingdom.
Juliana began her appraisal career with a prominent South Surrey residential real estate appraisal firm, working and training from July of 2009 until January of 2010. Campbell & Pound was honoured to hire Juliana in June of 2010 and she has been working ever since as a residential real estate valuator who specializes in the Tri Cities area, New Westminster, Burnaby and Maple Ridge. She is a licensed real estate professional (REBGV) and carries full Professional Liability Insurance.
Pardeep Bual joined Campbell & Pound in August 2017 as a Commercial Appraiser. He graduated with honours from Thompson Rivers University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business & Administration Degree with a double major in Finance and Marketing. Prior to becoming an appraiser, he was working in the banking industry for approximately ten years, and has extensive knowledge of banking.
Pardeep has completed and received his Post Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation (PGCV) with the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business, completing all educational requirements. He has been a Candidate Member in good standing, since 2015, with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC), and is working towards acquiring his full accreditation (AACI) with the AIC in 2018.
His scope of experience over the past several years has grown to include industrial, commercial, agricultural, development land, proposed construction and multi-family assignments.
Kelvin graduated from Langara College’s Realty Appraisal program in 1995 and joined Campbell & Pound in 1997. He has been a member in good standing with the following institutions: the Appraisal Institute of Canada since 1997, achieving his AACI, P.App. in 2003; the Real Estate Institute of BC since 2004, receiving his RI(BC) in 2004; and the Real Estate Institute of Canada since 2012, achieving his Certified Reserve Fund Planner (CRP) in 2013.
Kelvin's areas of specialization include consulting and valuation services for expropriation and right of way work, market rent surveys, depreciation reports, and replacement costs (insurance appraisal) from Pemberton to Hope, and Greater Victoria.
He has served as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of BC and at Residential Tenancy Branch hearings. An active volunteer, Kelvin has served as the co-chair for the AIC National Conference (2004-2007), was elected to the AIC-Vancouver Chapter as an Executive (2004 to 2012), and has served as both the AIC-BC Provincial Director (2014-2017) and the examiner for Professional Competency Interviews. Kelvin is also an Instructor at Langara College- Introduction to Appraisal.
Grace joined Campbell & Pound in 2017 as its Commercial Division Operations Manager. She has over four years of experience in the real estate industry as an Unlicensed Assistant. Grace brings to Campbell & Pound a wealth of experience from over twenty years in the Marketing and Advertising fields, both locally and internationally. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts (Accelerated Program) from the De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.
Grace provides the much needed support required by the company’s growing team of commercial appraisers. She handles property data research, records and database management. Grace also carries out all office administrative duties relating to the Commercial Division, including accounts receivables and payables, purchasing, and client support. She is a valuable member of the team and is a proven reliable, efficient and responsible team player. Outside of the office, Grace is passionate about travelling and gardening.
Heather joined Campbell & Pound in 2002 as a research assistant in the IC&I Division and is now one of the company's most experienced appraisers. Since 2003, Heather has been a member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, carrying full liability insurance coverage.
From 2005 until 2010, she worked as a residential appraiser and in 2010 she made the permanent transition to the IC&I Division. Since 2010, Heather has been conducting commercial valuations on a wide range of IC&I properties under the guidance of her mentor.
Her range of experience includes industrial, office and retail properties, development land, multi-family apartment buildings, and replacement cost appraisals.
Heather has been enrolled in the Sauder School of Business appraisal curriculum and is nearing the completion of the educational and professional requirements for her CRA designation. Upon completion of her CRA designation, Heather will be undertaking additional studies relevant to the IC&I fields of appraisal.
Katrina completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Economics in 2010 from the University of Toronto and completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Valuation at the UBC Sauder School of Business in 2012. She is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and is currently on track to receive her professional valuation accreditation (AACI) in 2018.
Katrina began her appraisal career at a Vancouver real estate appraisal firm, working from 2012 to 2017. Beginning in the residential division, Katrina developed her experience across a wide array of residential property types in the Lower Mainland, including single family dwellings, new construction appraisals, vacant land, condominium units, and estate properties. Katrina joined the Commercial Division of Campbell & Pound in 2017 and has been involved in industrial, office and retail properties, development land, and multi-family assignments.
Richard graduated from Business School at Simon Fraser University with Honours in 2006. In that same year, he became a member in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada, where he earned his professional designation in 2009. Richard specialises in the valuation of commercial properties, including industrial, retail and office buildings, as well as vacant land throughout Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, and the Fraser Valley. He has also served as an expert witness in both the Supreme Court of Alberta and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Richard joined the team at Campbell & Pound in February of 2013, after several years of serving as an appraiser in the Province of Alberta. His professional and efficient service to all of his clients has been an asset to the team.
Simon joined Campbell & Pound in 2003 and has been a member in good standing of the Appraisal Institute of Canada ever since. Simon has performed over 1200 commercial appraisals over the past 14 years in all property types across the Lower Mainland.
Simon’s scope of practice includes all manner of properties, including development land, multi-family, retail, industrial, and specialized/custom use properties. Simon also has been affirmed as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
In addition to his AACI, Simon has been a licensed Realtor© since 1999. Since 2012, he has been a Certified Reserve Fund Planner (CRP) through the Real Estate Institute of Canada and over the past five years, has expanded his scope of work to include Depreciation Reports/Reserve Fund Studies, Highest and Best Use Studies, and Land Use Consulting.
Thomas graduated from the University of British Columbia with a double major in Economics and English Literature. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and is currently on track to receive his professional valuation accreditation (AACI).
He has been a practicing appraiser at Campbell & Pound since 2003. Beginning in the residential division, Thomas developed his experience across a wide array of residential property types in the Lower Mainland, including condominium units, waterfront custom homes, and equestrian acreage properties.
To further expand his areas of expertise, Thomas entered the company’s Industrial Commercial and Investment (IC&I) Division in 2006 and now holds a Senior role in its operations. In addition to typical industrial, commercial and multi-family assignments, his scope of practice has grown to include complex IC&I valuation for expropriation purposes, feasibility studies, litigation appraisals, ecological gift appraisals, development land and construction appraisals, and aggregate valuations for developers.
